After quarter an hour of weak drama, a murder happens of the lead cast member’s husband and daughter which sets her life off in a new direction.
Half an hour in and we see the perpetrators go free, while Garner gets sent off to a psyche ward for her reaction to this. She escapes and so begins her new life, on the run. Fast forward 5 years, and her revenge spree is underway.
There’s some respectable action and concept here, but there’s also a lot more gritty drama than I’d like. Much of this movie is highly skippable (or fast-forwardable) — even the action — if you’ve seen it before. Garner’s also getting on a bit, and pouting too much. And there’s a lack of strong supporting cast members. So I’m going to rate it Below Average. But it’s not a terrible movie — it can certainly entertain if you’re bored and haven’t seen it before, or at least in a few years.
